Jiffy-7 Peat Pellets #736 - 36mm Round

  • Jiffy-7 Peat Pellets are great for starting bedding plants. They are the convenient, no-mess way to start flower and vegetable seeds and cuttings. Canadian sphagnum peat moss provides a rich, high-quality growing environment. Transplant directly into the ground or larger containers minimizing transplant shock and root damage.

Jiffy has introduced a new PLA netting which is more environmentally friendly. This PLA netting is filled with high-quality peat and then compressed to form a handy pellet. Just add water, and the little planting wonder grows to up to seven times its size in just a few minutes. It is held together with fine netting, ensuring optimum air/water exchange.

works good - wish they didn't use plastic though

Hoping one day they will switch to a non-plastic degradable netting (maybe a cotton or twine fabric). I remove the netting when I transplant because it does not breakdown in the soil. Otherwise, great product!

They are working just as they are supposed to. Next time I will order a size bigger of the Peat pellets. These are gonna do fine though, as I can quickly plant seedlings in a Jiffy! Thanks for the product.

Jiffy Peat Pellets

High quality pellets for seed starting. Early "cole family" has already been transplanted, put in the greenhouse for transplanting o the garden in central Wisconsin in the next week or two.

You can't beat Jiffy - 7 pellets for starting seeds.

No muss, no fuss, and no trouble, that is the best way that I can describe Jiffy-7 pellets when used to start tomato seeds. If there is a better way I have not found it in the manyyears that I have started my own tomato plants. Just so the "greenhouse" folks know; there are better, bigger, and prettier tomatoes to be grown when someone is not limited to "what the greenhouse grows and sells".
