I purchased both metal and these red plastic stakes. I like that they are easy to spot when working in large areas,. What I don't like is they break easily, which gets worse after a year outside. Probably 90% of ones from last year have broken. I will stick with the metal stakes. I love the ground covering though, I can't garden without it, I live on an old field/pasture and it is full of sod and weeds.
