polytape-6inx108ft
Designed specifically for repairing damaged film on greenhouses, this heavy-duty poly repair tape is made out of UV-protected acrylic. Its large width and extra sticky surface give it superior holding power. Even the adhesive is UV-protected to protect the bond from deteriorating in sunlight.
Our rolls have over 2 times the amount of typical rolls. Several sizes are available to fit your needs.
Additional Information
I ordered this tape since I was out of the stuff I used to get from my old supplier. Since they closed their location in my area, I was having trouble finding what I wanted online. Once this tape is in place, it has great adhesion and is very tough. The problem is that without backing paper, you have to peel the tape off the roll like a normal roll of tape and then cut it and put it in place without it sticking to itself or anything else. Doing this with even a light wind while standing on a ladder 10' or more off the ground is not what I consider fun. If this had backing paper to make it easier to get off the roll and handle as it's put in place, it would be perfect. The only tape with backing paper I was able to find was only 4" wide and I'm regretting not getting that instead.
We poked a hole in the top of our 20x36 greenhouse when putting the plastic on. It was towards the center, so not easily reached. The tape is thick and super sticky. We were able to drape the tape over the hole and get it to stick by dangling it in the end of a stick and just catching the edge on the plastic (hope that makes sense). Then we put another piece on the bottom to sandwich the hole in between. You wouldn’t notice if you didn’t know to look. I feel good having it in hand for future bloopers.
Before we could install the greenhouse vinyl, mice got to the plastic, eating several holes throughout the piece. Although highly bummed, we decided to order the mending tape to see if it would make satisfactory repairs or if we had to order a new covering. Once we opened the covering we had about 15 holes, from a dime to a 50 cent piece, that the tape repaired perfectly. I can't recommend it enough for minor and major repairs to the vinyl cover. The tape was outstanding.
